Today I learned how to  create a screen-cast, with Dhaivyd's help. This is quite a tool which is fun, once you learn how to use it.   This can be a method for guiding staff around different tools they may find helpful while working with computers. One thing I learned is to practice what you will say or have notes next to you for guidance.  With this particular screen-cast, I found myself repeating and pausing too much.   Participation the last five months in 5TTT has been helpful and useful. I am not as timid to try different tools. My next step is practicing the tools and implementing them  in my current work setting. Thanks Dhaivyd!

     Well, I just finished creating a form to complete for 5TTT. I am having some problems moving between the directions for the monthly assignments and then getting back to where I started. Practicing and being more active will help. Reading other blogs and comments is very helpful and interesting. After tonight, I may be caught up for the first three months. Nothing like being on top of it.
     Have a great week, it is supposed to start warming up again. The warm sun sure makes walking outside enjoyable. You can feel the warmth radiating from the sun. Yummmm!

     I was watching the various videos called "Did you know?" and they made astounding comments. The cell phone today is a million times cheaper, 1000 times more powerful, and 100 thousand times smaller than the one computer at MIT in 1965. The average teenager in America texts 2,272 messages in a MONTH! Since Wikipedia launched in 2001, they have over 13 million articles in 200 Languages.  Most of our students today have never been without a remote control for their TV's. I don't know about you, but I clearly remember turning the channels with a knob and turning the it on and off with a knob.
     We cannot deny how technology affects the educational system and our students.

Frustration abounds.....

At times, I think my computer technology skills are adequate; but doing new things such as this blog certainly stretches my skills.  I found a video that was interesting although I was not able to post it.  I will continue exploring the hows and whys. I was able to attend a session where Dhayvid helped through some steps. That was helpful. Thanks Dhayvid!
